Article summary

The Permission Sets dashboard allows you to designate which roles have which permissions. You can use standard roles like Administrator, Manager or User or create custom permissions sets. AlphaTrust also allows you to make a permission set active system-wide or account-wide.

Group/Sub-Group Permissions note: Users that are created within the primary Group, will automatically get those same permissions to any Sub Groups in that primary Group. Meaning that any user in the primary Group will have the same level of permissions and access to any Sub Groups under the primary Group. If a user has permissions to view transactions, documents, and reports in the primary Group, they will also have the same permissions and access in the Sub Group.

To add a Permission set:

  1. Click on the Account menu in the top right corner of the screen.
  2. Select Permission Sets.  This brings you to the Permission Sets dashboard.
  3. Click the Add Permission Set button.
  4. Basic Tab
    1. Name the permission set
    2. Select if the permissions will be account-wide
    3. Select if the permissions will be shared to all Sub-Groups
    4. Choose which permissions will be available under this set.
  5. Once all permissions have been selected, click Add Permission Set. This will add the newly created set to the list on the dashboard.
